Crown Social was born in 2019 from a simple observation: Australians were craving authentic connections with their cities, but traditional guides felt impersonal and outdated. Three friends—a cultural journalist, an urban planner, and a café owner—met regularly at a Melbourne laneway café, sharing discoveries and lamenting the lack of a platform that truly captured the essence of urban Australian life.

What began as handwritten lists of favorite spots evolved into detailed maps, then into a blog that quickly gained a devoted following. People resonated with our authentic voice and curated approach. By 2020, Crown Social had transformed from a passion project into a full-fledged platform, expanding beyond Melbourne to Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide.
